ALF Therapy Provider Credentialing

Provider credentailing for the ALF InterFACE Academy has been designed to provide the opportunity for providers to prove competancy of understanding the principles on which Dr. Nordstrom has based Authentic ALF Therapy.  In addition, by our community of providers supporting the credentailing process, it provides legal protection as well as the benefit of public awareness of our organization in its goal of protecting the public from unauthorized use of ALF through trademark protection.

The common denominator between all levels of certification is successful completion of the online proctored credentialing examination.  This examination has been designed to ensure that every ALF Therapy provider has had the proper training to understand the core principles and appliance designs that are at the foundation of ALF Therapy as designed and developed by its inventor, Dr. Darick Nordstrom.

1. Legacy member- A dental provider who has been previously trained by Dr. Nordstrom and can prove their attendance in at least one hands-on course within the past 5 years(Between 2017-2022) can immediately enter as a Legacy provider. Legacy providers who meet the requirements are considered to be Fellowship eligible and can proceed directly to sitting for the Fellowship exam or can choose to participate in the ALF Covenant Course as a refresher course prior to taking the Fellowship exam.To be credentialed you must hold current membership. Proof of 25 completed cases must be turned in. (Last name, first initial.- You are required to keep records of this if ever called into question)

 

2. New members– A dental provider who is new to the ALF Therapy community or who has not received training within the past 5 years will benefit the most from participating in the ALF: Evolution course. If the provider is interested in becoming certified, they can sit for the Fellowship exam after successful completion of this hands on class. 

3. Recently trained members – Providers who have been trained by Dr. Nordstrom in the series of courses hosted by the ALF InterFACE Academy and Synergy Academy are Fellowship eligible to sit for the exam. The list of courses that will leave you immediately prepared for the exam include ALF Foundations with a hands on component of ALF HOME or ALF Evolution. If you have taken online courses during the COVID travel ban and need to complete a hands on requirement, you may take either ALF Evolution or the hands-on Covenant Course.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

To maintain Fellowship status you must 

-Pass the online proctored exam

-Maintain CE- At least one course or conference must be attended through the ALF InterFACE or Synergy Academy every two years with a minimum of 14 CE) 

-Submit a minimum of 10 completed ALF cases ( Last Name, First Initial, you must retain these records if ever called into question)

To maintain Mastership Status you must

-Pass the online proctored exam

-Maintain CE- At least one course of conference must be attended through the ALF InterFACE or Synergy Academy every two years with a minimum of 14 CE

-Submit a minimum of 25 completed ALF cases

-Complete one of the Advanced Level online classes (Genesis,Grow, Guide-offered online through Digital Chalk)

- Mastership status includes the completion of a *40-hour course approved by the Cranial Academy. 

*These courses are provided through the W.G. Sutherland Temporomandibulo-Cranial Dental Group or the Osteopathic Cranial Academy.
